ROLEX BOUTIQUE: NEW MUST-SEE ADDRESS IN LYON'S CARRÉ D'OR

The new Boutique Rolex Lyon welcomes its visitors in a harmonious and elegant environment. The choice of materials and colours gives this space a refined and warm atmosphere with great respect for the elaborate building dating from the end of the 19th century. Its impressive corner façade in local Villebois stone has been worked like flutes, evoking the iconic bezel of classic Rolex models. Visitors are greeted by a travertine counter topped with stucco, which reproduces the motif of the high relief of the Grand Hôtel-Dieu, illustrating the link between the watch manufacturer and the capital of Gaul. The "Cyclops" suspensions, inspired by the Cyclops magnifying glass which is one of Rolex's signatures and was patented in 1953 to enlarge the date on the dial, present an iconography linked to the history of Rolex. The space of more than 200 m² has been designed in several distinct zones. After the reception area with its mineral atmosphere, where stone is omnipresent, visitors are led along a long wall of walnut lath to access a more cosy area. A large velvet bench invites them to discover Rolex watches in an intimate and convivial surroundings. At the after-sales service counter, behind which a stucco of a watch movement evokes the know-how of the brand, visitors will be able to deposit their watch. All materials are carefully selected and implemented in this new Rolex boutique, where one can immerse oneself in the world and history of a brand driven by the perpetual search for excellence and quality.

ROLEX: THE PERPETUAL SEARCH FOR EXCELLENCE AND QUALITY

It is in this elegant and modern setting that the Maier team offers a wide range of Oyster Perpetual and Cellini watches, all of which benefit from Rolex's specific Superlative Chronometer certification and a five-year international guarantee. Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, has passed on to the brand the perpetual quest for excellence. From the outset, he established a network of watchmaking workshops around the world, whose mission is to ensure that all Rolex watches can be maintained in the best possible way. They can thus be passed on from one generation to the next and live several lives. The Rolex watchmaking workshop has four workstations and is equipped with the most advanced tools, including a device for testing the water-resistance of watches at depths of up to 3900 metres. Les horlogers à l’œuvre sont spécialement formés par la marque. The watchmakers are specially trained by the brand. They carry out different types of operations in compliance with Rolex standards, thus guaranteeing the performance of the brand's watches over time. All the materials in this 72 m2 workshop are selected and used with the same care as for all the spaces on the ground floor. Whether it is a question of welcoming and advising customers or of having a watch taken care of by the Rolex service centre, everything contributes to making each visit to this new Rolex boutique an intimate and privileged experience of the brand's universe.
