CAN I CHANGE THE DATE ON MY WATCH AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY?

No, you should not change the date between 10pm and 2am (especially on watches with complications). During this time, the minute and date gears are active in order to show the right day around midnight. A forced change during this period may damage the movement.

CAN YOU WIND A SELF-WINDING MECHANICAL WATCH USING THE CROWN LIKE A TRADITIONAL MECHANICAL WATCH?

It is recommended that you wind your watch a dozen times, depending on the brand, in order to get the movement started and create a power reserve by directly working on the mainspring.

SHOULD I RINSE MY WATCH AFTER SWIMMING?

Yes, you should rinse your watch with clean water after swimming to remove any salt residue and other compounds found in the water (swimming pool and sea water).

I DROPPED MY WATCH, IS IT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY?

No, the 24-month warranty usually provided only covers manufacturing flaws in the movement. This warranty is only valid upon presentation of the original warranty completed when the purchase was made.

Our watchmakers will deliver a quick and full report and suggest the best solutions. N.B. We are obligated to charge for some quotes, so please contact us.

YOUR STORE DOESN’T SELL MY WATCH, CAN I STILL BRING IT TO BE REPAIRED?

Our watchmakers will give you a detailed quote for each repair on a case-by-case basis.

WHAT DELIVERY METHOD DO YOU USE?

Our partners offer us maximum security and excellent delivery times. Our parts are sent to you with our current partner: DHL. This service ensures supervised delivery and delivery against signature.

HOW MUCH DOES DELIVERY COST?

Delivery in France is free. Delivery within the EU is €50 for orders under €1,400 and free for orders over €1,400. Delivery outside the EU is €60 for orders under €2,000 and free for orders over €2,000.

CAN I PERSONALISE MY JEWELLERY?

We offer personalised engraving for jewellery and watches in Maier’s stores. This engraving is limited to a set number of characters depending on the product. Please be aware that some products such as open-worked rings cannot be personalised.
