MAIER presents Gallet

gallet-1e881c15

Since 1826, Gallet watches have been shaped by a spirit of adventure and the call of travel. Designed for travellers facing long distances, high speeds and unpredictable conditions, each model was created to meet a specific need for navigating land, sea or air. These watches have shaped Gallet’s journey across the globe.

FLYING OFFICER

First launched in 1939, the Flying Officer was introduced at a time when international travel was on the rise. Designed to accompany the very first intercontinental flights, it allowed pilots to check the time at their next stopovers to refuel, thanks to its rotating bezel. Worn by prominent figures such as former U.S. President Harry S. Truman, who called it “the most sophisticated watch [he] had ever seen,” it quickly became a hit outside the cockpit, establishing itself as the go-to watch for those exploring a newly connected world. Today, the Flying Officer has been reimagined to meet the needs of modern travelers, featuring a redesigned city ring. Its time zones follow major global hubs and tourist routes, while its purpose remains unchanged: to tell the time across the globe, from city to city and continent to continent. It is designed to travel the world while staying in sync.

MULTICHRON PILOT

First launched in 1938, the Multichron collection has evolved into a series of chronographs designed for precision timing in various disciplines. In the 1960s, models such as the Multichron 12 Scientific helped define a more technical and performance-oriented approach to timing. Over time, the collection has become closely linked to the world of motorsports, where timing is crucial. Today, the Multichron Sport is designed for all kinds of adventures across varied terrain, from asphalt and gravel to dunes and rougher terrain. True to its original purpose, it is designed to measure speed accurately in constantly changing conditions. With its tachymeter scale and bold, high-contrast design, it proves its worth on all terrains, even the most unpredictable.

MAIER helps you take care of your Gallet watches and jewels

Your Gallet watch is a reflection of the care you give it. MAIER has drawn up a few recommendations especially for you in order to preserve the brilliance and functions of your watch. Avoid prolonged contact with the sun and chemicals. When using your watch underwater, make sure the crown is closed and do not press the pushers. We do not recommend exposing your watch to magnets, thermal shock, soap or steam. To clean your timepiece, soak a microfiber cloth or soft-bristled toothbrush in warm water and brush gently. Your Gallet watch should be serviced every five to six years by our MAIER watchmakers.
